Before using Painter’s Touch with Metallic from Rust-oleum, you have to use a primer on the surface you are applying paint.
Similarly when you are using Spraymate, which is a fast drying lacquer. You need to apply a primer first.
Once the primer has been applied you can spray on any of the Spraymate colours.
The Rustoleum paint includes a paint and primer. It can be applied to a surface directly without using a primer first.
You have to check that the spray can says Paint & Primer or you will have to use a separate Rust-oleum primer before you apply the paint.
Note to self: the Rust-oleum metallics don’t have a primer incorporated into them so you need to use a separate primer first, before applying a Metallic paint.
You may use Rust-oleum on windows, for privacy or decoration.
Remember you need to clean the windows before painting. To clean windows, don’t use hot water and soap as it will leave a residue, but rather use methylated spirits or thinners. This will ensure a thorough cleaning.
Apply the paint on the inside of the window, not the outside.
Just a few of the notes which we made when Rust-oleum visited us.
