SPRAYPAINT STOPS RUST FLAT WHITE 340G (RUSTOLEUM)
To use Rustoleum flat white spray paint, first, prepare the surface by making sure it is clean and dry, then shake the can vigorously for at least a minute. Apply several light, overlapping coats from about 25-40cm away, moving back and forth in a steady motion. It’s best to recoat within one hour or after waiting 24-48 hours for best results and to avoid wrinkling.
Step 1: Prepare the surface
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, and contaminants.
Sand the surface if necessary to create a smooth finish.
Apply a Rustoleum primer for best adhesion and protection, especially on rusted surfaces.
Step 2: Prepare the can
Shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after you hear the mixing ball rattle inside.
Shake the can frequently during use.
Step 3: Apply the paint
Hold the can upright, approximately 25-40cm away from the surface.
Spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
Keep the can in constant motion to ensure even coverage.
Apply 2 or more light coats, allowing a few minutes between each, to avoid runs and drips.
Step 4: Clean up
Wipe the spray tip with a solvent like mineral spirits and pull it off the nozzle to rinse before storing to prevent clogging.
Step 5: Drying times
The paint should be dry to the touch in about 20 minutes (conditions vary by product and temperature).
To recoat, apply the next coat within one hour or wait until after 24-48 hours have passed.
