Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Sanding glossy or damaged surfaces and applying a primer (like a white primer for a white topcoat) can improve adhesion and durability.
Use a drop cloth to protect the surrounding area and painter’s tape to mask off any areas you do not want to paint.
Work in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors, and wear appropriate safety gear like a mask and gloves.

Application
Shake the can: Shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after you hear the mixing ball begin to rattle. If you do not hear it, do not use the can.
Hold the can correctly: Hold the can upright, approximately 20–30 cm away from the surface you are painting.

Spray technique
Move the can in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
Keep the can in motion while spraying to prevent drips and runs.
Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart instead of one thick coat. Applying multiple light coats gives a smoother, more even finish.

Drying time
The surface is typically dry to the touch in 15–30 minutes, but this time may be longer in cold, wet, or humid conditions.

Clean-up and storage
Clear the nozzle: After each use, turn the can upside down and press the actuator for 3–5 seconds to clear the valve.
Clean the nozzle (if clogged): If the valve clogs, pull off the actuator and rinse it in lacquer thinners. Do not insert any object into the orifice.
Store the can: Store the can upright and away from open flames.
