Adjusting the tile levelling pliers

The jaws bear against the wedge and base so the installer can position the wedge at the tile joint. Adjusting the tool for the tile and wedge gives more control than trying to seat each wedge to the same point by hand. Wedges and base clips are separate components.

Choose these pliers when working with a compatible wedge-and-base levelling system. The tool helps drive the wedge into the base in a controlled way at the tile joint.

Before you start

Set the tool to suit the tile and wedge before fitting a full row. Use enough pressure to bring adjoining faces into alignment. A levelling system helps control lippage; the tile still needs a properly prepared base and the correct adhesive bed.
