SPRAYPAINT PLASTIC PRIMER 250ML (SPRAYMATE)

Spraymate® Plastic Primer is a specially formulated primer used on surfaces made of plastic. Plastic Primer has etching properties enabling strong adhesion between plastic and the top layer of paint. Plastic primer has high coverage reducing the need for excessive layers of the top coats. It is suitable for any form of plastic and will not cause any warping or dissolving of plastic.

To use SPRAYMATE Plastic Primer, prepare the surface by cleaning it thoroughly, then apply thin, even coats from about 25-40cm away, holding the can upright and moving steadily. Shake the can vigorously for a minute before and during use, and allow each thin coat to dry for about 1 hour before recoating or applying a top coat. Clean the nozzle after use by holding the can upside down and spraying until it is empty.

Before you begin
Clean the surface: Wash the plastic item with soap and water to remove dirt and grime. For best results, a quick wipe with acetone after cleaning can help remove residue.
Shake the can: Vigorously shake the can for at least one minute, or until the mixing ball rattles freely.

Application process
Hold the can correctly: Hold the can upright, maintaining a distance of 25-40cm from the surface.
Apply thin coats: Spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. A thin coat is better than one heavy coat for adhesion.
Move the can constantly: Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in constant motion to ensure an even application.
Let it dry: Allow each coat to dry to the touch (20-30 minutes) and to handle (1 hour) before applying another coat.

Recoat or topcoat:
For additional primer coats, wait at least 1 hour between coats.
Maximum adhesion is achieved after 5-7 days.
