SPRAYPAINT PLASTIC BLACK 340G (RUSTOLEUM)

Rust-Oleum plastic black spray paint is used for renewing and protecting indoor and outdoor plastic items, such as furniture, plant pots, and storage boxes. It is also ideal for craft projects and can be used on other surfaces like wood and metal. Some types are specifically formulated to apply directly to plastic without a primer, providing a durable and long-lasting finish.

To use Rust-Oleum Plastic Black, first clean and prepare the surface. Then, shake the can vigorously for one minute, hold it 25-40cm away, and apply multiple light, back-and-forth coats, slightly overlapping each stroke. After each coat, wait a few minutes before applying the next, and clear the spray valve by turning the can upside down and pressing the button for a few seconds when finished.
Preparation
Clean the plastic surface thoroughly with a wax and grease remover or isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, oils, and any protective coatings.
Lightly scuff the surface with fine-grit sandpaper for better adhesion, unless the product specifies a primer is not needed (some “Direct to Plastic” products say this).
Wipe away any dust from sanding.

Application
Shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle.
Hold the can 25-40cm from the surface.
Apply in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
Keep the can in constant motion to prevent runs and ensure even coverage.
Apply two or more light coats, waiting a few minutes between each coat.
For best results, apply a second coat within one hour of the first, or wait 48 hours.

Finishing
Once finished, turn the can upside down and press the spray button for about 5 seconds to clear the nozzle.
Allow the paint to dry completely (a few hours to 24 hours, depending on conditions).
Maximum adhesion is typically achieved within 5–7 days.
Clean up wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits and dispose of the empty container properly.
