SPRAYPAINT ARTIST FIXATIVE MATT 250ML (SPRAYMATE)

To use SPRAYMATE Artist Fixative, shake the can for at least a minute, then clear the nozzle by spraying a few times onto a scrap surface. Apply in light, even coats from about 30cm away, using overlapping passes in multiple directions (e.g., horizontal then vertical). Allow each coat to dry for 5–10 minutes before reapplying, and always work in a well-ventilated area and wear a mask.

Before you begin
Work in a safe space: Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors, and wear a mask and gloves to avoid inhaling the fixative.
Secure your artwork: Tape the paper down to a surface to keep it from shifting and to prevent droplets from settling on your drawing.
Test first: Always spray a small amount on a scrap piece of paper to ensure the fixative works correctly and doesn’t damage your artwork.

Application steps
Shake the can: Shake the can vigorously for at least 1-2 minutes to thoroughly mix the components.
Clear the nozzle: Before spraying your artwork, press the nozzle for a few seconds onto a scrap paper to clear any dried fixative and ensure an even spray.
Position the can: Hold the can about away from your drawing.
Spray in light coats: Apply the fixative in one direction with light, even passes. Overlap each pass by about a half-inch.
Wait and dry: Let the first coat dry for about 5-10 minutes, or until it is touch-dry.
Change direction: Rotate your artwork 90 degrees and repeat the spraying process to ensure even coverage from all angles.
Add more coats if needed: You can apply additional light coats after waiting for each to dry, turning your artwork 90 degrees between each pass.
Finish: After you are done, invert the can and spray for a few seconds to clear the nozzle for storage.

Important considerations
Use thin layers: Multiple thin coats are better than one thick coat, which can cause warping or damage your artwork.
Wait for proper drying: Allow adequate drying time between coats to prevent damage.
Avoid over-spraying: If the drawing becomes wet, you have used too much.
Be aware of changes: Some fixatives may slightly darken the artwork.
