Description

Soudal Sealant Remover 400ml helps remove cured silicone and hybrid polymer residue during repair and maintenance work. Model 119709 contains a ready-to-use, fast-working formula that stays in place without dripping. It also treats spilled silicone or MS polymer residue after you remove as much material as possible.

How Soudal Sealant Remover works

The hydrocarbon-based cleaner softens remaining sealant so you can remove it with a suitable tool or cloth. First, cut away the bulk of the cured material carefully. Then use the spray on the remaining residue, keeping the surrounding surface dry during application.

Application steps

• Work on a dry surface in dry conditions.
• Shake the aerosol thoroughly before applying it to the residue.
• Allow at least ten minutes for the product to act.
• Remove softened material with a knife, spatula or rough cloth, taking care with the underlying finish.
• Repeat the treatment if necessary.
• Finally, wash the surface thoroughly with water to help prevent surface degradation.

Surface suitability

Soudal lists aluminium, ceramic tiles, glass, coated metals, laminated board and some painted or synthetic surfaces. However, always test a small area first because paints and plastics vary. The remover can stain porous materials, and it is unsuitable for nylon or PMMA.
