Suitable applications
Use the pump for garden irrigation, lawn sprinklers and transferring clear fresh water or rainwater. For water drawn from ponds, streams or rainwater storage, the manual recommends a pre-filter and a suitable intake set. These help keep stones and other hard particles out of the pump.
The stated maximum head and maximum flow are separate performance limits. Actual delivery depends on the installation and operating conditions. Follow the manual for priming and hose connections, and avoid abrasive material such as sand.
Preparing the installation
Position the pump on a firm, level surface and use a reinforced, vacuum-resistant suction hose. The manual specifies a suction hose of at least 3/4 inch and recommends a backflow preventer. Airtight suction connections help the pump draw water effectively.
Fill the pump through the filler opening before starting, following the manual’s setup sequence. After use, remove the battery and drain the remaining water before storage.
