CHALKBOARD BLACK SPRAY 312G (RUSTOLEUM)

To use Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Black Spray Paint, shake the can vigorously for two minutes, then apply 2-3 light, even coats from 15-30cm away using a steady back-and-forth motion. Wait for the paint to dry (24 hours) before preparing the surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk over it and erasing it, which is necessary before using it for the first time.

Before you begin
Shake the can vigorously for at least two minutes after the mixing ball starts to rattle.
Protect the surrounding area from overspray and ensure good ventilation, as the product is for indoor use only.
Clean and dry the surface thoroughly. Lightly sanding the surface may improve adhesion.

Spraying the paint
Hold the can upright about 15-30cm from the surface.
Apply two or more light coats, allowing a few minutes between each to avoid drips and runs.
Use a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke, and keep the can moving at all times.

Drying and finishing
Wait for the paint to be fully dry (24 hours).
To prepare the surface: After it’s fully dry, rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire surface and then erase it. This step is crucial before you can start writing on the chalkboard.

For best results, use calcium carbonate chalk and a felt eraser.
Clean up the spray valve by turning the can upside down and pressing the button for 5 seconds after you’re done.
