Seal your Floors with Woodoc Floor Sealers

While our previous guide focused on Interior Sealing products from Woodoc, which are solvent-based, in this iteration we focus on the Floor Sealers from Woodoc which are both solvent-based and water-borne sealers. Let us give you some guidance so that you can feel confident making a decision in the protection of your home.

 

Identification of Floor Sealers

Immediately upon deciding that you are going to seal your interior floors, you want to easily identify the Woodoc sealer you would prefer. Know these points and you will be well on your way. 

Note: In the Woodoc range you have two choices of products for Interior Floor Sealers: Woodoc 25 Floor Sealer and Woodoc Water-Borne Floor.

 

Woodoc 25 Floor

  • Note the name: Woodoc 25 Floor. Not to be confused with a Woodoc Interior variant.
  • It is a Solvent-Based Sealer.
  • It is for use inside only. 

Importantly

  • It is a Polyurethane Floor Sealer. Remember PU is going to be strong. Think running shoes. Think cushioning of running shoes is sometimes of Polyurethane, and now you are applying that to your floor. Strong – hard wearing!
  • Available in a Satin finish with Clear or Oregon finish. 
  • Gives your floor a Deep Polished look
  • Alternatively  a Matt finish which will enhance the grain and colour of all woods. If your floor is in really good condition and you want to show the natural grain of the wood, this is a good option. 

 

Remember:

Don’t wash with water and detergent or soap. 

Rather clean with a damp cloth or apply some Woodoc Deep Penetrating Furniture Wax or a Woodoc Antique Wax and polish.

 
 

Woodoc Water-Borne Floor

  • Note the name: Woodoc Water-Borne Floor, not Water-Borne Interior although the Interior option will not harm the floor. 
  • It is available in a Clear|White, Gloss|Matt option only
  • The Water-Borne product is greate for hardwearing surfaces – high traffic areas. 
  • While you may think Water-Borne somehow means soft and weak, this is a hard and durable sealer. 
  • Because it is water based it is easy to clean and apply, and it dries fast. 

 

Remember:  No soapy stuff to clean. Just apply a damp cloth.
