Of course you are thinking to yourself, “what a brilliant brand name for such a product”: BliXem – water based degreaser.
The title BliXem just says it all – a no-nonsense, get it right, get it off, do what it says it will do – degreaser. Well, if that’s the case we’re in. And we hope that you are too.
At DIY, Jackie has sourced BliXem from Oiflow – an innovative company that has been around for 20 years. They develop various products in the lubricants segment. So BliXem Degreaser is born at Oilflow, in South Africa. Their claim is that their products are engineered to optimize performance, extend equipment life, and reduce maintenance costs, all while meeting the toughest industry standards for safety and environmental responsibility.
But like the DIY fanatics that we are, seeing is believing and so you want to challenge BliXem to deliver on what they say their product can do. There is one main way to test BliXem and satisfy yourself that this is a genuine degreaser – buy one and test it at home or work where you know what’s what. And then let us know.
BliXem is described as a powerful degreaser that removes tough grime and grease. We can’t wait to test it.
It has a wide range of applications including: engine parts, garage floors, tools and domestic floors & surfaces. It is especially formulated to be gentle on the soft parts like rubber seals and hoses, while releasing the dirt from the hard components.
While a number of surfaces and components are listed as places where BliXem may used, perhaps the most surprising is the carpet. If it can degrease without staining or blotching that will be a win!
Other than that, the following surfaces are where BliXem may be applied:
Mechanical components
Automotive components
Industrial food industry cleaning
Domestic floors, walls, tiles
Workshop floors
Engine cleaner
Carpet cleaning
Household appliances
Tools & machinery
So with its pine aroma that will leave you believing that it has changed the atmosphere of the workshop, we hope that you will be excited that BliXem will act in the way that it should. Bliksem!
